It's Big, it's Bouncy and it's definitely fun for all - Giant Volleyball
This is a truly enormous area that lets you try out all the moves you've ever wanted without the hassle of getting a face full of sand. Ever wanted to "spike" the ball well now, with the aid of the 2' soft bed, you can jump to heights you've only dreamed of. Teams of 4/5 compete against each in this competitive but fun game ensuring every ones kept busy either playing or watching the fun through the netted walls. Large palm trees in the corners help create the right atmosphere.
You start with the right back position. That’s the server... when serving one can NOT cross the back line before contact or during contact with the ball.
Back row Players: Back row players can still attack the ball from the back row, however, they can NOT make contact above the level of the net or in front of the 10 foot line. Many times you will hear that a team is running a 6-2 ...meaning when the setter is in the back row. S/he is setting so there is an allowed 3 hitters in the front row... but the same rules apply for her/him as the back row because s/he is still a back row player at the time... Once a ball is in play none of the players are required to stay in one position on the court s/he can move around to any spot.
Front Row: Front row hitters can attack from any where on the court.
Setters: are the ones that mainly set up the ball for the front row or back row attacker, some assistance is required if the setter is forced to have the first of three hits on their side...before or after hitting the ball or during any plays none of the players are allowed to hit the net, or it is a side-out or a point for the opposing team.
